FAQ
WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
We want to ensure that time spent in your first session is focused on what is bringing you into us which is why we require all paperwork to be completed prior to scheduling. Please make sure to provide a valid email when scheduling as this is where the link to the client portal will be sent and is where you will find the electronic forms to be completed. If you are having problems completing the forms or need the link to be resent to you, please contact our office at [email protected] or call us at 402-277-9499.
We highly recommend to our patients to get familiar with the client portal as this is where the therapist will be providing additional assessments, treatment plans/updates, etc., for completion and review during treatment. The email that you provide during your intake call is what your username is for the portal, and so please make sure you remember to keep this and the password you create handy as you will need this information in the future.
We follow a strict 24 hours notice cancellation policy, and no show policy. More information regarding this will be discussed during your intake call and in our intake forms.
While we are happy to check insurance benefits we encourage all patients to check with their insurance for benefits and eligibility before seeing our therapists. It is important to understand that the information we obtain from your insurance provider isn’t always 100% accurate at the time we receive it, and it should never be taken as such due to many factors. We rely on the information we receive back on the insurance claim after each appointment to provide our patients with the most accurate information of what to financially expect. If you are a self-pay client this does not apply to you.
A credit card is required to be kept on file and unless prior arrangements have been made at intake as we collect any balances due every Friday.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
This is a great question! Treatment time depends on multiple factors: The severity of the concerns coming in, response to initial treatment approaches, response to adding medication as part of the treatment plan (if applicable), and the commitment of the client and family (if applicable) to their overall goals in treatment.
Typically treatment on average for minimal concerns lasts on average anywhere from three to six months. Moderate concerns lasts on average six months to one year. Severe and complex concerns can average over a year in treatment.
